Quit Notice to Igbos Reckless ,Misguided,says Northern Group in Southeast 


The National Patron of Northern Peoples Welfare Association  in South-East Dr. John Nowkeabia while condemning the threat to  evict Igbos in the Northern State by some misguided youths as reckless and ill conceived.


In a statement issued at the end of the quarterly meeting of the association in south east He said that those who issued the ultimatum had actually negated the true Northern Spirit of peaceful coexistence and accommodation regretting that such a highly volatile issue of such nature was made an agenda for grandstanding without any thought of its implication to the stability and unity of this country.


Dr. Nowkeabia therefore call on all the members of Northern Peoples Welfare Association in South-East to remain calm and go about their legitimate businesses without fear or panic.


He call on the South-East leaders to resist any attempt to create value for the position of the Northern Youths by making it an agenda for any discussion as he equally call on the Northern Political leaders to call the youths to order.


While he commend the Acting presidentProf. Yemi Osinbajo GCON for the good initiative and the right step he has taken by interacting with leaders of the various Zones where issues of hate speeches and agitations have been alarming.


Dr. Nowkeabia is totally in support of the Acting President’s initiatives to bring about the much desired peace and unity in the country.


He assures the Northerners resident in South-East of his unreserved support through their unassuming leader Chief Dr. Bajika Sarki Danladi RDCSSJUN.  


Dr. Nowkeabia congratulated the Muslims for the successful completion of the 2017 Ramadan Fasting and urged the Muslims to keep alive the lesson of Ramadan aimed at achieving peace, unity and stability.


He also congratulated the muslims on the occasion of the Eld-el-fitr celebration.
