Saraki Lauds Kaduna Senators 

…says there are active,over representing Kaduna

The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Sarki has described the three Senators; Comrade Shehu Sani, Danjuma Laah and Suleiman Hunkuyi, representing Kaduna State at the upper chamber as hardworking , intelligent and active lawmakers  who have truly represented their state very well.

According to the Senate President, the three Senators are not only active ,but also performed creditably well as lawmakers ,who helped to project the 8th Senate in good light .

The Senate President stated this on Thursday, when the Executive members  of  Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Kaduna State Council, led by its Chairman, Comrade Adamu Yusuf paid him a courtesy  visit to inform about the Council’s  proposed  National Colloquium on election scheduled to hold May 24th ,2017 .

Saraki ,who commended members of NUJ ,Kaduna Council for having confidence in Lawmakers in their efforts to led the  people well, said , ”  We don’t have any other country except Nigeria. We have just passed the budget and also made sure that all the mechanism that will make it work is taken care of.

“As for your state, I like to tell you that Kaduna is blessed with active senators. If there is anything like over represented, that is what Kaduna state is getting right now from the three distinguished senators. You know in the red chamber, we have active and passive senators, you are lucky to have all the three very active.”

The Senate President who was supported by three senators, including Senator Shehu Sani during the solidarity visit promised to support NUJ Kaduna State Council.

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of the NUJ Kaduna state Council, Comrade Adamu Yusuf commended the Senate President for appointing Alhaji Hakeem Baba-Ahmed from Kaduna State as his Chief of Staff.

Comrade Yusuf urged Bukola Saraki to remain focused on the discharge of his responsibilities as the President of the Eight Senate, reminding him that Nigerians and indeed, the masses look up to the National Assembly for quality leadership.

Comrade Adamu Yusuf assured the Senate President of  Council’s total support to ensure objective media coverage of the Senate and its members.
