NEMA Donates Relief Materials to  Kebbi State Disaster Victims 
National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) donated relief materials worth millions of Naira approved by the federal government to victims of the recent flood/windstorm disaster in Maiyama Local Government Area In Kebbi state.

Presenting the items Birnin Kebbi , The Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and NEMA Director General, Engr. Mustapha Yunusa Maihaja North-West Zonal coordinator led other prominent authorities to flag-off the direct distribution of the relief support to the affected victims of the incident.


The governor said the decision to donate the relief materials was borne out of the Federal Government’s effort to cushion the suffering of the affected persons of about 800 persons who lost some viable means of livelihood following the destruction. 



The relief items are 300 badgs of cement, 300 bundles of roofing sheets, 150 bags of 3’ nails, 150 packets of zinc nails, 200 bags of maize, 200 bags of rice and 200 bags of beans, 300 pieces of blankets, mosquito nets, ceiling board, mattress.


Governor Bagudu on behalf of the victims commended theFederal Government’s gesture through the agency for its prompt response to disasters in the country and promised to ensure equitable distribution of the items to all the affected persons.


Immediately after the presentation, the Director General and other prominent authorities in the state visited places affected by the windstorm in Maiyama Local Government in Kebbi state.
