Muslim Woman Distributes Rice , Food items to Christian widows for Christmas

As part of effort to strengthen peaceful coexistence among different faith organizations , boost tolerance ,forgiveness and better understanding between Christians and Muslims in the State ,a Muslim woman , Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani donated bags of rice and other Food stuff to over 50 Christians widows for Christmas celebration .
In her remark after handing over the items to the beneficiaries at Christ Evangelical Church Ministry , Sabon-Tasha ,Kaduna,Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani said the gesture is aimed at helping the needy , particularly during this economic recession to enable the beneficiaries celebrate Christmas with joy and happiness like every other Christian families across the world with enough Food to eat.
Hajiya Tijjani , who is also a Peace Ambassador from the Northern Nigeria ,said supporting Christian widows with a enough Food stuff to cook for their families at the yelutide season will help to reduce the hardship most widows face in the communities .
” I have discovered that without any assistance coming from philanthropists and government organizations and Non Governmental Organization, it will be difficult to helping widows and elderly person with their children at such a time and its my hope to see other people helping the poor and other needy person at season like this approaches.
“Christmas provides an opportunity for Muslims to demonstrate to their Christian neighbours that Islam is a faith of peace and love ,and that is why I decided to support the widows ,orphans and elderly persons at this yelutide season .
” I believe there is need for the rich people in the society to emulate the gesture and culture of giving to the poor and adherents of other faiths” .She stated .
On why the Christ Evangelical Ministry Church Sabon- Tasha, Kaduna, she explained , “It is because every year ,during the holy month of Ramadan, the General Overseer of the Church, Pastor Yohanna Buru always distribute food and other drinks to Muslims IDPs, destitute and inmate, during sallah celebration.
“Pastor Buru’s heart of giving to Muslims impressesed me to start helping Christian widow and orphans .
“I wish I have enough money,I would have bailed over 100 christian inmates so that they can go home and celebrate Christmas with their friends and family members
” I am inspired by what Pastor Buru usually does at the beginning of every Ramadan ,that is to free Muslims prisoners for Ramadan sake ,so as to promote peace and unity among different religious bodies in the country.” she said .
Hajiya Ramatu then called on Federal government to create institutes of comparative studies ,which she belives can help end ethno-religious crisis.
She equally noted that the creation of institutes of comparative studies will surely increase better understanding, religious tolerance, forgiveness, reduce blaspheming tendencies, and how to live in peace and harmony between Muslims and Christians and other religions in accordance with the teachings of the Holy books, adding ” This will boost the activities of local and international interfaith activities across the 36 states of Nigeria.
While noting that there are more than 6,000 religions in the world, most of which are very different from the literate Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), that many people think of when they hear the word “religion.”, both Christians and Muslims in the north must shun all forms of ethno-religious,political crisis bedeviling the peace stability In the region.
Responding on behalf of every member of the Church,Pastor Yohanna Buru,the General Overseer of Christ Evangelical Intercessory Fellowship Ministry, expressed satisfaction over the food donation by Muslim woman to his members,stressing that only God will pay her for donating food to the widow in this hardship period
Pastor buru Christmas hundreds of muslims usually come e to his house to join Christians to celebrate the Christmas and New Year together.
From information gathered , last year ,she donated over 20 backs of rice,beans,palm oil and other cooking stuffs to reduce the cost of purchasing food items to many Christian families at season like this in some part of the Northern state.
