Kaduna Deputy Governor’s father in-law buried amidst tears , cheers

The remains of 120-year-old Rev. Karniliyus Ali Rtd, the father in-law of Kaduna State Deputy Governor were laid, Saturday, amidst cheers and tears from thousands of mourners celebrants ,who gathered at the Assemblies of God Church, Matuak Giwa Moro’a of Kaura Local government area of Kaduna State for funeral service in honour of the Late Reverend. 
The wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Ladi Barnabas Bala, was sighted crying while some youths and women were also sighted celebrating the life well lived by Baba Karniliyus
Baba Karniliyus was laid to rest after a funeral service by many clergymen from different christian denominations.
The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-rufai was represented by his Deputy, Arc. Barnabas Yusuf Bala. Speaking at the funeral service, Mr Barnabas Yusuf Bala said “the Governor would have love to attend the funeral service not because Late Mr. Karniliyus was his deputy’s father in-law, but for Baba late son Mr. Yusuf Ali who was his classmate in Barewa college, Zaria. The governor condole the family and prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable lost.
The Chairman of Kaura local government area, Mr. Alex Iya said his present age is just one third the years Baba lived on earth. He attribute the long life baba live to his close working relationship with God. He admonished young men and women to remember God in all that they doing so that they will enjoy long life like Late Karniliyus.
In her special tribute to her late father the wife of Kaduna State Deputy Governor said Baba taught her love, fear and obedience to God,  honesty, humility and hard work. That she won’t forget many things she learned from him. She thank her late father for his prayers and fasting for her family even in his old age.
In his sermon, the guest preacher read from the book of Luke 16:24 and preached on the topic Where will you spend your eternity? He told the mourners that our life here on Earth is very brief. He said we must surely die one day face the consequences of our actions and inactions in the life to come. He admonished the people to stay away from evil as that is also a requirement to make heaven.
Top government functionaries, party leaders, traditional rulers who attended the burial included Mr John Audu, Deputy Speaker Kaduna State house of Assembly; Members representing Kaura, Zonkwa, Kauru were also present. Mrs Tyoden, wife of Plateau State Deputy Governor; Dr Manzo Maigari Honourable commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry and his Health and human services counter Dr Paul Manya Dogo were also present.
Other personalities who attended the burial includes; Barr Chris Umar, deputy Chief Of Staff; Malam Murtala Dabo, economic adviser to the Governor; Executive secretaries of Kaduna state investment promotion Agency and Kaduna State Emergency management Agency were also present. Others are;  they chairmen of Sanga, Sang and Kagarko local government area.
